The American Red Cross will hold its next Vinton blood drive on Thursday, September 26th, 12:30-5:30 at the Skate Center. The United States is experiencing a blood emergency. This is when the nation's blood supply falls by 25%. It only takes about an hour to save a life. Virginia Gay Hospital will host a 'Pink Night' on Tuesday, October 1, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Vinton Public Library. The hospital will discuss early detection, share stories of hope, and share resources that are available to those who are affected by breast cancer. The event is free and open to the public.
